How to get to DeKey to collect the key to my room?
To pick up your key, you will need to go to the DeKey office, which is located at Hoogte Kadijk 179. Make sure to go during office hours, since you won’t be able to collect your key in person outside these hours. If you would like someone else to pick up your key, you will have to contact DeKey at the following email address: shortstay@dekey.nl
1 Directions from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Central Station:
The easiest way to Amsterdam from Schiphol Airport is by train. Trains between Schiphol and Central Station depart about every 10 minutes between 6am and 1am, and once every hour between 1am and 6am. A one way ticket will cost you € 3.20 from a vending machine. You will need some coins though. Trains to Amsterdam Central Station generally depart from platform 1 or 2. 2 Directions From Amsterdam Central Station to Office of DeKey /ShortStay Facilities (SSF)
Once you get to Amsterdam Central Station, take the exit to the centre (follow the signs with tram/bus etc., not to the North side). Walk towards the bus station, located right in front of the train station (east side). Note: there are several locations from which the buses leave, so make sure to turn left once you exit Central Station!
Take one of the following buses:
Bus 43 in direction of ‘Borneo Eiland’. Stop: Wittenburgergracht.
Bus 22 in direction of ‘Indische Buurt’. Stop: Wittenburgergracht.
Once you’re at Wittenburgergracht:
Walk towards ‘Overhaalsgang’ and turn left at this street. You will cross a bridge over water. Turn left at the end of the bridge to stay at the ‘Overhaalsgang’, make sure you don’t continue walking next to the water at the ‘Nieuwevaart’, because this is the wrong street. The first street you’ll encounter then is ‘Hoogte Kadijk’, turn left here. Walk to number 179: you’ve reached your destination!
