SAMUN Delegates Wanted
Do you wish to be part of a group of future diplomats and develop your own skills of debate, negotiation and lobbying?
Student
Amsterdam Model United Nations (SAMUN) brings together and prepares
students in simulation models of United Nations (MUN’s). In 2008-2009
SAMUN-delegations participated in OxiMUN in Oxford, WorldMUN in The
Hague and SAMUN co-organized a mini-MUN at the Vrije Universiteit.
Right now SAMUN is looking for new participants (experienced or
inexperienced in MUN’s) to enrich our 2009-2010 trajectory.
As
a SAMUN member you will take part in the training trajectory for MUN
conferences. You will be provided with preparation meetings to ensure
successful participation during the conferences. You will operate in an
international environment, together with people equally fond of
international politics.
This academic year, SAMUN plans to visit LIMUN in London, CMUN in Barcelona, and several MUNs within the Netherlands.
A
position in the SAMUN delegation is not necessarily an intensive
occupation, it is very much up to your own availability (max. 2 hours
per week). Above all, it can be a very educative, challenging and mind
opening opportunity.
SAMUN is a young organization; be a part of its further development!
The 6th of January 2010
SAMUN wil start with the training trajectory. All potential delegates
are invited and may receive training! If you are interested in joining
our delegation in London (February 19-21 2010), please sign up before
the 11th of December.
